Kelly has extensive experience with building and leading a sales team and how companies can better navigate through multiple stages of growth, IPOs and financings, global expansion, CEO and leadership transitions and strategy development. Kelly joined Tableau as the company’s first salesperson and tenth employee in 2005 and helped grow Tableau into a multi-billion dollar public company as a key member of the executive team. She grew Tableau’s revenue and field operations from zero to $850m in revenues and managed over half of Tableau’s global team as the company grew to 3,300 employees. 

Kelly helps companies create best-in-class sales and marketing organizations. She also works with companies to develop purpose-driven companies with a great culture and workplace. 

Kelly will be interviewed by Alissa Finerman, an Executive Coach and Wharton MBA.

About Kelly Breslin Wright

Kelly has over 30 years of experience in leadership, sales, operations, and strategy. She spent 12 years at Tableau Software, where she led worldwide sales and field operations as Executive Vice President of Sales. Before Tableau, Kelly worked at Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, Bank of America, Dale Carnegie Training and AtHoc.

Kelly is a Board Director at Fastly (NYSE:FSLY), Lucid, Amperity, and Even and an advisor at data.world and Hyperproof. She teaches Go-To-Market Strategy at the UW’s Foster School of Business and is an Advisor for UW’s Professional Sales Program. She regularly speaks on topics including sales, go-to-market, leadership, culture, operational excellence, diversity and scaling. She is active on multiple women on board organizations, including onBoarding Women, 2020 Women on Boards, and others, all focused on promoting increased gender diversity on boards. 

Kelly earned her BA from Stanford University and MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Alissa Finerman is an Executive Coach and Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. She works with leaders, managers and teams to drive performance and leadership development. She is an executive coach for the Wharton Executive MBA program. Prior to coaching, she worked on Wall Street for 10 years and played on the Women’s Professional Tennis Tour. She earned her MBA from the Wharton School. Alissa is the author of the book, Living in YOUR Top 1%. She is VP of Programming for the Wharton Alumni Club of Southern California.
